Sunday 26th July saw the third running of the Slot.it 6 hour Group C Team Endurance race held at South Manchester Slot Racing Club. We had 24 racers in 8x teams competing across both tracks and it was nice to have two juniors racing with us in Hugo McTaggart and William Shaw.
All car maintenance was carried out during live race time and Parc Ferme was used during the lunch break to simulate live race conditions (and add to the tension!).
We had some enjoyable close racing across all heats and at the end of six closely-fought hours, Team Molesey SCC1 had gained their revenge on last year’s race win by Bloody Hell Racing and won the day by 33 laps. Bloody Hell Racing were second and Wolves SCC gained third place (only 2 laps behind after 2,700 laps of racing!).

Special thanks go to Devon Fourie from Team TruSpeed who helped us recover from a laptop crash mid-racing. Also, a special thank-you to Ellen Reynolds for the hot bacon, sausage and black-pudding rolls that kept us going throughout the day!
